Rendering of the future Project Farm House

Project FarmHouse™ and Live Better Live Green®  officially launched this Earth Day !   Founded by Lisa Alexander, LEED AP and Nationally recognized Green Living, Building and Sustainability Expert; Project FarmHouse™ is a green renovation project in Pike County that is getting national media attention for the difficult efforts involved in renovating a 100 year old farm house to acquire LEED, NAHB Green and Energy Star Certifications.   The renovation work will include recycling and reusing part of current structure, buying used, local and other sustainable products, solar panels, geothermal heat system and more.

The renovations can be viewed on www.LiveBetterLiveGreen.com.  Alexander created the site to help people find information to save money, energy, their health and Planet Earth.   The site provides information to help you make your home and lifestyle healthier and more sustainable. “Project FarmHouse™ will be an internet green how-to video show on www.LiveBetterLiveGreen.com that will take you through all the ins and outs, and real costs and issues associated with creating an energy efficient and sustainable “green” home.

Project FarmHouse™ will also be a local learning center where children and adults can learn how-to create a healthy sustainable home and lifestyle.  Volunteers are welcome to come participate and learn from experts on all things “Green”; from energy efficiency, organic gardening and sustainable land management on the 53 acres of woods, wet lands, ponds and pastures.

For Immediate Release:

Lisa Alexander,  LEED, AP,  Certified EcoBroker,  and Nationally Recognized Green Living & Sustainability Expert, has just entered in an agreement to host and produce a one hour radio show on Green Living and other such sustainability topics for Bold Gold Media Group, one of the largest groups of multimedia radio stations in the Northeast.  The show will air on the weekends with internet downloads available anytime.  “Ms. Alexander is a true expert in all areas of sustainability and has a good balanced pragmatic view that appeals to a wide audience.  Her vast following has been asking for a question/answer medium to gain more direct access to Lisa’s myriad of knowledge.  We are so excited to have her join our group”,  Vince Benedetto, CEO, Bold Gold Media.

Ms.  Alexander has also recently been invited to sit on several college advisory boards to help set up and teach some of their new sustainability programs to prepare our young adults for the new green economy.  Through the green and sustainable renovation process at Lisa’s “Project Farm House™”, which will officially launch on Earth Day this year, college students will learn weatherization and insulation techniques along with alternative energy solutions such as geothermal and solar PV installations.

In addition to this wonderful news, February also saw Lisa Alexander’s “Project Farm House™” gain more momentum as a program for local school children will be added to teach them about organic gardening and healthy eating, "I plan to educate every child and adult about food, inspiring them to improve how they eat, understand where our food comes from, how to prepare and cook good food, and empower them with the knowledge to fight obesity,  stay healthy and live in a manner that is sustainable to the health of our entire planet”, said Ms. Alexander.  The children will participate in  the “Project Farm House™” official organic garden this spring and learn how to grow and prepare their own food in cooperation with several local school districts.
